from the Sormani company in Paris, founded by Paul Sormani (1817 - 1866).
After his death, his son and widow took over the company, which closed in 1934. The company specialized in the manufacture of luxury furniture but also toiletries, which were originally contained in this travel case, which was a luxury toiletry bag.
