Blue Fluted Plain dish

3.500 kr.

from ca. 1800. Crooked tab and surface scratches but very charming.

The painter's mark is difficult to read but probably refers to Friederich Gregorius Schaltz, who was employed at the porcelain factory from 1780-1802
The letters C.L. are embossed into the porcelain mass on the back of the dish. It is uncertain what these embossed letters and other signs refer to, but Laurits Dorenfeldt writes in his book (see below) about C.L.: Probably these are the initials of Anton Carl Luplau, the factory's model master 1776-95 and former model maker at the factory in Fürstenberg. As master modeler he was responsible for the tableware, among other things, and it is therefore natural that he himself designed some of the objects (Own translation / IH).

Length: 37 cm
